In the heart of Zimbabwe, a remarkable story of youthful ambition and entrepreneurial spirit is unfolding. Mufudzi Kamusasa, a 14-year-old student at Peterhouse, one of Zimbabwe’s prestigious private schools in Marondera, is not just excelling academically but is also making waves in the agricultural sector, according to The News Hawks.

Kamusasa, whose first name aptly translates to “shepherd”, is an emerging cattle rancher and a dedicated Brahman breeder with a growing herd of 12 cattle.

Despite his young age, Kamusasa’s aspirations are far-reaching. He aims to expand his herd significantly by the time he completes his secondary education, positioning himself as a formidable player in Zimbabwe’s cattle ranching industry.

This July, Kamusasa is set to showcase one of his prized bulls at a national stock sale event, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.

Operating from his father’s 450-hectare ranch in Headlands, about 137km east of Harare in the Manicaland province, Kamusasa is diligently working to build his reputation as a stud breeder.

“I am striving to use the best genetics available to become a breeder of note,” he shared with The News Hawks.

His dream extends beyond the borders of Zimbabwe. Kamusasa envisions himself as one of the premier Brahman breeders globally, a goal he pursues with unwavering dedication.

His story is a testament to the potential of Zimbabwe’s youth to drive innovation and growth in traditional sectors like agriculture.
