South African pop powerhouse Dan Duminy is back with his fresh new single, Mixed Signals, available now!
Known for his heartfelt storytelling and genre-blending vibes, Dan has been dominating the airwaves with chart-toppers like You Don’t Know Me, Favors, and In My Head. He’s also teamed up with some of the biggest names in the game, from Nasty C and Tellaman to Blxckie and even the legendary songwriter Dianne Warren. Dan’s music keeps pushing the limits of South African pop while winning hearts around the globe.
Following up on his April release, Lost Without You, Mixed Signals dives deep into those raw, confusing moments when love feels anything but clear. Here’s what Dan had to say about it:
“The song came from a place of frustration and vulnerability, that space where someone’s actions and words just don’t line up. I wanted to capture the confusion of being stuck in between, where you care for someone, but they are not giving you clarity. It’s real, it’s raw, and I think a lot of people have been in that place,” said Dan.

Raw emotion meets cinematic depth
Mixing catchy pop with moody, cinematic vibes, Mixed Signals delivers the raw emotional honesty that Dan’s fans love—only this time, with a sharper, more polished edge. Produced with his longtime collaborator and buddy Jordan James, the track perfectly blends heartfelt vulnerability with powerful energy.
“Jordan knows me better than anyone, so he really helped me bring out the most honest version of the song. The textures he added gave it depth that made it hit harder while still feeling authentic,” said Dan.

Dan Duminy’s new era

“This year has been about clarity. Musically, I have been finding my lane more than ever and putting together a project that feels true to who I am. Personally, it’s been a mix of highs and lows, but even the challenges have shaped me into a stronger artist and person,” said Dan.
Mixed Signals is only the kickoff to Dan’s exciting new chapter—expect more singles, epic collabs, and electrifying live shows coming your way soon.
“It feels like everything I have been building is finally aligning – the EP, the new music, the shows, all of it. 2026 is going to be a breakthrough year, and I’m excited to keep sharing my story and connecting deeper with fans,” said Dan.
