Well, for legendary musician Yvonne Chaka Chaka, her love story seems to fall into that first category — the kind that makes you believe fairy tales might just be real. The iconic I’m Burning Up singer just marked 36 years of marriage with her soulmate, Dr. Mandlalele Mhinga.
The two tied the knot on 7 October 1989, and their bond has only grown stronger with time. Together, they have raised four sons — Ningi, Themba, Mandla, and Mfuma Mhinga — and have built both a family and a business empire. The couple also own a limousine company, and Yvonne runs her own production house, Chaka Chaka Productions.

To celebrate their milestone anniversary, Yvonne took to Instagram to share a celebratory message. And while she’s known for her powerful lyrics, this time she kept it simple, honest, and straight from the heart.
Here’s what she had to say:
“36 years ago on this day we said YES we Do. .Thank you for being a good friend and father to our children . Siguga Sonke God is good. And he is our Rock,” she wrote.
