Miley Cyrus recently celebrated her 33rd birthday, marking the occasion after a remarkable year filled with music, awards, and creative projects.

The year kicked off on a high note in February 2025, when Cyrus won a Grammy Award alongside Beyoncé for Best Country Duo/Group Performance with their collaboration II Most Wanted, featured on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album. This built on her previous Grammy success from the prior year for Flowers.

In May, she released her highly anticipated ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, via Columbia Records. The project is a visual album, and Cyrus promoted it through fan appearances in New York and Paris, giving audiences a chance to experience the album’s themes and visuals firsthand.

Now later in November, she contributed a new original song, Dream As One, to the soundtrack of the blockbuster film Avatar: Fire and Ash. Co-written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, the track showcased her versatility and ability to bridge music with cinematic storytelling.

Happy birthday, Miley!

Throughout the year, Miley stayed closely connected with her fans, sharing glimpses into her life and expressing moments of gratitude. Taking to her Instagram page, she posted a birthday message for herself. While we are accustomed to Miley moving our hearts, souls, and emotions through her music and lyrics, this time she kept it very, very, VERY short — simple, direct, and straight to the point.

Pouring out her heart, both to herself and to the fans who have been her unwavering support throughout her entire career — from when we first knew her as Hannah Montana to the grown woman she is today, continuing to make waves in both the music and film industries .

This is what Miley wrote:

“33 is already burning bright thanks to the warmth of your sweet birthday wishes. All I want this year is more laughs with the people who give me the little smile lines that are starting to show up. I love you all,” wrote Miley.
