Global nightlife institution fabric London has just revealed a stellar lineup of South Africa’s top DJs and producers, who will be sharing the stage with international heavyweights Marcel Dettmann, Gerd Janson, and Gabrielle Kwarteng at this year’s highly anticipated shows in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

These events highlight fabric’s growing connection with South Africa’s vibrant electronic music scene, mixing world-class international talent with homegrown stars for two nights of pure, unforgettable beats.

Vinny da Vinci leads the Joburg lineup

In Johannesburg, the event takes place on Friday, January 9, 2026, with fabric partnering with leading techno promoters TOYTOY for a full three-floor takeover of AND Club and Carfax. South African house legend Vinny da Vinci joins as a headliner, supported by an impressive roster including Abby Nurock, Avi Subban, Black Lake, Bongani Zulu, Cornelius SA, Illing, Karmerr, Paulo Lundall, Sanetran, Sir LSG, and Transmicsoul. This lineup promises a dynamic fusion of deep house, techno, and soulful grooves, celebrating Johannesburg’s pulsating underground culture.

Cape Town’s Castle becomes the dancefloor

Cape Town’s edition follows on Saturday, 10 January, 2026, transforming the historic Castle of Good Hope, the 17th-century fort that stands as South Africa’s oldest building, into a sonic playground. Disco maestros Horse Meat Disco join as headliners, with a diverse bill featuring Athie Umgido, Digital Sangoma, Irshaad S, Lady M, Leighton Moody, Miss CJ, Raresoftware, Resident DTK, Thamiache, Wata Mami, and YAMZ. Attendees can expect an eclectic mix of house, disco, and experimental beats in this landmark venue, showcasing Cape Town’s innovative and inclusive dance community.

fabric stages an unrivaled takeover of Cape Town’s 17th-century Castle of Good Hope—the first electronic music event at South Africa’s oldest building.

Marcel Dettmann, Gerd Janson, Horse Meat Disco, and Gabrielle Kwarteng headline three rooms featuring immersive projection-mapping visuals across the castle walls.
