South African hip-hop sensation Omuhle Simamane professionally known as Usimamane is back with his new EP, Baby Tai, a confident, ambitious project that channels hunger and momentum.
Released under Gamma.Africa, Baby Tai arrives with its hard-hitting lead single, Racks, a bold anthem for go-getters and self-starters. The EP is now available on all major streaming platforms.
Usimamane is no stranger to success. With over half a million monthly Spotify listeners and a debut album, 20th: DAYS BEFORE MAUD, that hit #1 on South Africa’s Spotify Weekly Album Chart, he became the youngest SA artist to top the chart. His single Uvalo featuring Sjava has racked up over 1 million streams, and he’s held #1 album spots on Apple Music and Spotify in South Africa.

Usimamane opens up about his lead single
Speaking about his latest project, this is what Usimamane had to say:
“Racks is all about money, drive, and mindset. hat’s why I’m dropping it early in the year – it’s motivation for everyone who’s tryna get paid,” said Usimamane.
After a game-changing encounter with hip-hop heavyweight Rick Ross in January, Racks channels Usimamane’s focus, discipline, and unfiltered hustle for success.
“All we spoke about was getting to the money by all means necessary,” said Usimamane.

Usimamane’s Journey Through Rap, Trap, and R&B
