Afro-pop icons Dalom Kids are turning up the heat!
The legendary group is celebrating a SAMA nomination for their collab with Friends, the TV debut of their vibrant new video Simkhuzile, and a string of exciting shows lined up across South Africa and the UK.

The story behind Simkhuzile
Originally penned by the late Dan Tshanda as Awulaleli, the track has been beautifully reimagined by Dalom Kids as Simkhuzile, bridging generations while honouring the soul of the original. With Lowsheen, HarryCane, and Charlotte Lyf on board, the production fuses nostalgic vibes with a fresh Afro-pop twist that speaks to today’s music lovers. Its touching message and cultural weight have earned it a South African Music Awards nomination — a powerful nod to Dalom Kids’ lasting impact on African music.

Sylvia Tshanda on the SAMA nod
Sharing her pride and excitement over the SAMA nomination, Sylvia Tshanda — the powerhouse writer, producer, and composer behind Dalom Music — had this to say:
“Being nominated for a SAMA is a huge honour. This recognition reminds us that the spirit of Dan Tshanda and the magic of Dalom Kids’ music continue to live on, inspiring both the old and new generation,” said Sylvia.
