'Forever grateful for you': Bryan Habana celebrates 16 years of love and marriage with wife Janine

It’s still roses and romance for one of Mzansi’s favourite couples!

Former Springbok star Bryan Habana recently celebrated 16 years of marriage with his longtime love, Janine.

The pair tied the knot on 20 September 2009 and have built a beautiful life together, raising two boys and showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to love.

Their love story began at the Johannesburg University Campus. Janine was studying sports science when she met Bryan who studied computer—and also played rugby.

Fast forward to today, and the couple is celebrating an incredible 16 years together and Bryan didn’t let the special moment pass by—he marked the occasion with a heartfelt message to Janine. Here’s what he wrote:

“20/09/2009. 16 years.

“Way before our official “I do”, to every sunrise, every challenge, every laugh, every tear, every priceless moment — we’ve written a story together that no words can ever fully capture.

“You have been my constant, my strength, my biggest supporter, my safe place and my greatest blessing @janinehabana. Through the highs that felt like we were flying, and the lows that tested us, we’ve chosen each other—again and again.

“You are the most incredible mother, my most devoted cheerleader and the very reason our house is and will always be a home. Here’s to 16 years of love that keeps deepening, friendship that keeps growing, and a partnership that keeps teaching me what grace, patience, and devotion truly mean. Forever grateful for you, forever in awe of you,” he wrote.
