British pop star and actress Rita Ora kept the good vibes going all night long as she marked her husband Taika Waititi’s 50th birthday with a cosy party surrounded by close family and friends.
The Shine Ya Light singer, 35, tied the knot with the New Zealand filmmaker back in August 2022, after being close friends for four years. Since saying “I do,” Rita has embraced her role as stepmom to Taika’s two daughters — 13-year-old Te Kāinga o te Hinekāhu and 9-year-old Matewa Kiritapu — from his previous marriage to producer Chelsea Winstanley.
Rita took to Instagram to shower her man with love, sharing a heartfelt birthday tribute. Here’s what she wrote:
“Happy 50th birthday hubby. I know it’s a big milestone for you. I’m so proud of everything you’ve achieved and all the endless dreams you still have and want to accomplish I’m inspired by you everyday,” she wrote.

Gratitude to the guests
Rita also took a moment to thank all the guests who made the trip from near and far to join the birthday festivities, making the celebration even more unforgettable.
Here’s how she wrapped up her heartfelt post:
“Thank you to all our family and friends who flew in from all over the world to celebrate with us! I’m not crying, you are! I have finally recovered and can post about it. @taikawaititi Photos by my dearest @tiziano.raw. And thank you to Max and Jane @janegottschalk for your beautiful hospitality! To my brother and family @vasjmorgan for always being our rock and helping me put this magic together,” she wrote.

Typebea hair care product
Coming back to real business now, Rita Ora just launched her very own hair care brand, Typebea, teaming up with beauty guru Anna Lahey. Designed to boost hair growth and health, the product is all about helping people love their hair—no matter the style or texture. Packed with powerhouse ingredients, Typebea promises thicker, stronger, and longer locks, giving people a fresh way to shine from root to tip.
Opening up on her Instagram, Rita revealed this wasn’t just a random move — she’s been through her own battle with hair loss.
Here’s what she shared:
“Creating @typebea wasn’t a random decision – it was personal. I have experienced hair loss and thinning myself, so building products to support hair growth was always going to be at the heart of what we do. Proud to keep sharing my story in support of Hair Loss Awareness Month,” she wrote.
