Pastor and televangelist Joel Osteen recently shared a thoughtful message on Instagram, honouring the life of his father-in-law, Don Iloff , who recently passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 94.

In his moving tribute, Joel reflected on Don’s extraordinary legacy—not only as a mathematician whose work helped launch rockets to the moon—but also as a man of great character.

Iloff was the father of Victoria Osteen, Joel’s wife of nearly four decades. The couple married in 1987 and have two children.

Penning his tribute, this is what Joel wrote:

“Today we celebrate the life of my father-in-law, Don Iloff, a brilliant mind whose work helped launch rockets that carried men to the moon. But beyond his remarkable achievements, Don was a man of deep kindness, unwavering love, and a sharp, joyful wit. He was always there…ready to listen, to laugh, to lend a hand. He died peacefully in his home at 94 years old. Now, he rests beyond the stars, embraced by his Heavenly Father. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy and love will live on in all of us,” wrote Joel.
