Taylor Swift has just given fans an intimate look into the creative process behind her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, which officially dropped on Friday, 3 October, 2025.
The album was one of the year’s most highly anticipated releases — and Swifties wasted no time showing their support.
Within just 11 hours, Showgirl became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2025. Even before its release, it had already made history as the most pre-saved album in Spotify history, surpassing 6 million pre-saves and breaking the record previously held by The Tortured Poets Department.

Swift shares 24-hour deluxe drop
Now, just days after the release, Taylor took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes photos with her team, giving fans a glimpse into the moments when the album was still taking shape in the studio.
As a thank-you to her fans, she also released a special Alone In My Tower (Acoustic Version) Deluxe Edition, featuring original songwriting voice memos from Act 1 and Act 2 — available exclusively on iTunes for 24 hours, according to her Instagram post.
Here’s what Taylor wrote about the experience:
“Being in the studio and creating these songs was an unforgettable experience, but luckily I don’t ever have to forget it because I was recording while we were writing – and now it’s a way to look back on the process and give you guys a glimpse into how we wrote these songs, and hear the moments we thought of these ideas in real time.
The Life of a Showgirl (DELUXE Alone In My Tower Acoustic Version) featuring The Life of a Showgirl (Original Songwriting Voice Memos) Act 1 & Act 2 are available now on iTunes for 24 hours,” she wrote.
