“Paris, and France as a whole, is pretty special to me because I have been fortunate enough to visit numerous times over the years,” he said.

“It’s beautiful to visit a place with such a vibrant cultural heritage and as someone who loves languages, being able to communicate in French makes the experience even more special,” he added.

“As South Africans, we just love food, and I find that anytime I travel, I am on a mission to find really good food and that’s probably my big connection to home,” he said.
“This connection is more than just savoring flavours, it’s about witnessing how cultures evolve, blend and influence one another.
“It’s quite lovely to be able to travel between the two, seeing how both places are evolving and being able to merge the two to create something even more beautiful,” Maps Maponyane said.
