What a day—and night!
Jacaranda FM’s annual Good Morning Angels Golf Day, combined with a festive 20-Year Celebration, lit up Irene Country Club this past Friday with good vibes, great energy, and a massive R5.7 million raised for South Africans in need. That’s nearly R1 million more than last year—proof that the station’s listeners, sponsors, and partners continue to show up with heart and generosity in full swing.
This year’s event leveled up with over 80 companies getting involved, a brand-new bowls tournament, and a buzzing sponsor village that added even more life to the day. From Spur’s mouthwatering burger lunch to the stylish dinner and prize-giving on the First Fairway—thanks to JVR Events—every detail made the day unforgettable. A big shoutout to SAB for bringing the vibe and flair to the festivities!
The celebration hit another gear with live performances from JP Dix, the iconic Claire Johnstone, and fan-favourite Nadine, who turned the evening into an impromptu dance party. The music, the mood, and the magic created a night to remember.
But the real showstopper? The main auction, which alone raised a staggering R1.565 million for the Good Morning Angels Fund. With the charismatic duo of Chris Morris and Adam Heys leading the charge, the bidding action was fast, fun, and full of surprises.
Some of the top moments included:
- Raymond Marais from Container King snapping up a R500K Jacaranda FM ad campaign for R550,000.
- Ross Volk from MSC Cruises securing another campaign for R500,000, and adding Titans Suite tickets to his tab for R55,000.
- Raul Lima from AutoMagic Centurion taking home a TAG Heuer watch and Max Verstappen F1 suit for R250,000.
- The popular night golf activation, sponsored by Spar, teeing up another R180,000
- And Neil Olivier from Komatsu winning the sleek Smeg prize package
Creative sponsors help raise record R5.7 Million for Good Morning Angels
In a fun showdown celebrating creativity and generosity, hole and bowls field sponsors battled it out for coveted Jacaranda FM advertising airtime. The Total Risk Advisory sponsor village took home R50,000 in airtime for their standout efforts, which included adding club-cleaning brushes to golfer goody bags and donating R10,000 to the Good Morning Angels fund.
Sabat Batteries claimed third place with R50,000 in airtime, while Promac Paints secured second place, winning R75,000. But it was King Price who stole the show, crowned the champion and awarded a whopping R150,000 in airtime on Jacaranda FM.

Good Morning Angels has truly been a shining beacon of hope. Vuyani Dombo, Managing Director at Jacaranda FM, also shared his reflections on this special occasion:
