Allow me to proudly present: my Creamy Garlic Mushroom Toast.
Now, if you remember my long, dramatic love-hate saga with mushrooms, you will be pleased to hear that we are officially in therapy and making major progress. Honestly, this recipe might just save our relationship!
Fam, the beauty of this dish is that it works anytime — breakfast, lunch, dinner, midnight cravings, emotional support snack… you name it. And please, make it your own. Add whatever your heart (or stomach) desires.

How to make Creamy Garlic Mushroom Toast
Ingredients:
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 slice of bread (toasted)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small garlic clove, grated
- 2 tbsp fresh cream OR plain yoghurt
- Salt & black pepper
- A pinch of paprika
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Method:
- Toast your slice of bread and set aside.
- In a pan, melt the butter and add the mushrooms.
- Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Add garlic and cook until mushrooms soften.
- Pour in the cream and let it simmer for 1 minute until creamy.
- Spoon the creamy mushrooms over the toasted bread.
- Garnish with parsley if you like.

- A midday snack
- A simple dinner when you don’t want to cook too much
