Golden, fluffy frittata filled with spinach, cheese, and vegetables.

Today’s Tasty Pick! Homemade easy Frittata recipe

A Frittata is the ultimate breakfast, brunch, or even dinner dish. It’s quick, easy and packed with flavour!

Think of it as a cross between an omelet and a crustless quiche, loaded with fresh veggies, creamy cheese, and your favourite proteins.

The best part? You can customise it however you like.

How to make an easy Frittata recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • ¼ cup of milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil (or butter)
  • ½ cup of diced onion
  • 1 cup of chopped vegetables (e.g. bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms and zucchini)
  • ½ cup of shredded cheese (cheddar, feta, or mozzarella work well)
  • ¼ teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

Method:

  1. Preheat oven: If finishing in the oven, preheat to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Whisk eggs: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Cook vegetables and protein: Heat olive oil in a non-stick oven safe skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until soft, then add other vegetables and cook until tender. If using cooked protein, stir it in now.
  4. Add eggs and cheese: Pour the egg mixture over the veggies, tilting the pan to distribute evenly. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  5. Cook on stove: Let the Frittata cook undisturbed for about 5 minutes until the edges are starting to set.
  6. Finish in the oven: Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the Frittata is fully set and slightly golden on top. (If not using an oven, cover with a lid and cook on low heat until set).
  7. Serve and enjoy: Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Tip: Customise your Frittata with herbs like basil or parsley for extra freshness
