Alicia Keys has teamed up with Italian superstar Eros Ramazzotti on a brand-new song, L’aurora / La aurora, which was released Friday, 21 November 2025, and is now available on all streaming platforms.
In this collaboration, Alicia sings her verses in both Italian and Spanish across the different versions (Una Storia Importante / Una Historia Importante), marking her first time ever performing in Italian and fans are already going gaga over this unexpected and beautiful musical pairing!
About the song
The original inspiration for the song comes from it being written for Eros Ramazzotti’s daughter. The title, L’aurora, means “the dawn” in Italian, referring to the moment when the first light appears in the sky. With that in mind, the song represents new beginnings, hope, and the light that loved ones bring into our lives.

Taking to her Instagram, Alicia Keys shared a gorgeous behind-the-scenes look at the making of L’aurora / La aurora, giving us a peek at her and Eros Ramazzotti in the studio. The music video is also out now and ready to stream.
In her post, Alicia opened up about the song’s creation, the meaning behind it, and revealed that this marks her first time singing in both Spanish and Italian. Here’s what she had to say:
“L’aurora / La Aurora is such a special song created by the fantastic @ramazzotti_eros, originally written for his daughter. In Italian it means the dawn, when the first light appears in the sky. It was an honour to collaborate with him on the Italian and Spanish versions for his new album Una Storia Importante / Una Historia Importante. This was my FIRST time ever singing in Italian. This song represents new beginnings, hope and the light the ones we love bring us. Press play!! I cant wait for you to hear the whole song,” wrote Alicia.
