Elton took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes look at the project, posting a video where he talks about the experience of writing music for the production. In his caption, he wrote:

It is one of my favourite films & bringing such an iconic story to the stage meant finding the right balance of energy, humour, drama and heart.
