Taylor Swift is giving fans an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at her record-breaking Eras Tour with a brand-new six-episode docuseries, The End of an Era, coming to Disney+ in December.

Promising to reveal moments never before seen by the public, the series offers a rare glimpse into the preparation, pressure, and passion that made the tour a global phenomenon.

A tour like no other

The Eras Tour has been hailed as one of the most monumental concert experiences in recent history, selling out stadiums worldwide and cementing Swift’s status as a pop culture powerhouse. From her glittering performances to elaborate sets, costumes, and carefully crafted storytelling, the tour has been a visual and musical feast.

But while fans have seen the on-stage spectacle, the new docuseries promises something different: a candid look at life behind the scenes. Filmed throughout the tour’s run, The End of an Era highlights the dedication of Swift and her team — from her band and dancers to her creative collaborators and family — and captures the emotional highs and lows of life on the road.

What to expect

The six-episode series premieres on 12 December, 2025 on Disney+, with the first two episodes dropping that day, followed by subsequent episodes over the next two weeks. In addition to Taylor herself, the docuseries features appearances from opening acts Gracie Abrams and Sabrina Carpenter, collaborators Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch, and even glimpses of NFL star Travis Kelce in behind-the-scenes moments.

Directed by Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce, the series is a companion to The Final Show, a full-length concert film capturing the final Eras Tour performance in Vancouver, directed by Glenn Weiss. Together, the docuseries and concert film offer both a comprehensive and intimate portrait of one of the biggest tours in music history.

Why this series matters

Taylor Swift has framed this docuseries as more than just a concert diary. According to press releases and trailers, the series documents the grueling intensity of life on tour, the meticulous creative process, and the emotional journey that comes with bringing an ambitious vision to life. Fans can expect candid interviews, rehearsal footage, and personal moments with Swift’s inner circle, providing a humanizing glimpse at the superstar behind the music.

The timing is no accident. Swift announced the docuseries around her birthday, calling it a way to “relive the Eras Tour” while also celebrating this milestone chapter in her life. With the tour now complete, The End of an Era offers closure, reflection, and, perhaps, a hint at what comes next for the singer-songwriter.

A star-studded cast behind the curtain

Beyond Swift herself, the docuseries promises star power on multiple fronts. Opening acts and collaborators share their experiences on the tour, while family members appear, giving fans insight into Swift’s personal life. Even subtle appearances, like that of Travis Kelce, are sure to generate buzz among fans and media alike.

The countdown begins

With just weeks to go before its Disney+ debut, anticipation for The End of an Era is already at a fever pitch. Whether fans are eager for backstage secrets, emotional confessions, or just the chance to relive the tour from the comfort of their homes, the series is shaping up to be a must-watch event.

As she announced this on Instagram, Taylor captioned the post:

“Honestly can’t think of a better way to celebrate my (almost) birthday than to relive the Eras Tour with you! This time we are going backstage. The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries, streams on @disneyplus beginning Dec 12,” she wrote.
