Legendary singer and producer Babyface is showing love to Brandy following her major Hollywood milestone. Brandy was officially honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on 30 March, 2026, cementing her legacy as one of the most influential voices in entertainment. She received the 2,839th star in the Recording category, located at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard, in recognition of her decades-spanning impact across music, television, and film. The star-studded ceremony brought out some familiar faces, with Issa Rae among those who paid tribute. Fellow artists including Monica, Kehlani, and Jennifer Lewis were also in attendance, alongside Brandy’s Moesha co-stars Shar Jackson and Marcus T. Paulk. The moment was made even more special with the presence of her close family, including her daughter Sy’rai Smith and parents, as well as longtime friends and industry peers. Speaking from the heart, this is what he had to say: “I had the distinct honour to speak at Brandy’s Hollywood Walk of Fame induction. I believe she is one of the greatest voices of our time. When Whitney and I sat down to select all the girls for Waiting to Exhale Whitney picked Brandy first, saying ‘She had to be on it’. To this day Brandy remains one of one. I am honoured to have worked with her and having played a small part in her legacy which is now rightfully cemented in Hollywood,” wrote Babyface.
