In a recent Instagram post, James reflected on visiting Winehouse’s resting place, describing the experience as though he were catching up with her once again. He recalled missing her laugh, her sarcasm, and the easy conversations they shared throughout their friendship. In his post, James also revealed that he never got the chance to say goodbye when Winehouse died in 2011. According to the singer, he was uninvited from her funeral for reasons he still does not understand, a painful experience he says he has since made peace with. But I have made my peace with that, and today I got to come and see you and chat like you were sat next to me on the bench, and it felt amazing. I have really missed you, your laugh, your sarcasm and today was just like old times, chatting shit as we always did!,” wrote Nate.
