What are you thankful for today? Pause for a moment and consider it. What is that one prayer you whispered months ago—perhaps even years ago—that God has now answered? What dream once felt out of reach but has become part of your life today? What blessing have you grown so used to that you have forgotten it was once something you earnestly asked God for? Life has a way of moving quickly. One answered prayer often leads to the next request. We celebrate briefly, then shift our focus to what still feels unfinished, what still feels unknown. And in doing so, we can miss the evidence of God’s faithfulness already written into our story. His presence was my greatest gift Today, I am thankful for God’s grace and unconditional love toward me. When I look back, I don’t only see answered prayers—I see a God who remained present in every season. There were moments when I questioned his timing, days when my faith felt fragile, and seasons when I struggled to understand what he was doing. Yet even then, he was steady. His grace sustained me, his mercy restored me, and his love never wavered. Looking back now, I realise that his presence was the greatest gift of all. That truth deepens my gratitude today. The blessings in my life are beautiful, but they all point beyond themselves. Every answered prayer reminds me that God is faithful. Every delay has taught me to trust his timing. And every new day is a reminder that his mercies are new every morning. Never losing sight of the giver Perhaps today is simply an invitation to pause and remember his goodness in your own life. Not because gratitude changes who God is, but because it often changes how we see him. As we reflect on his faithfulness, our hearts begin to soften. We start to recognise that he has never stopped pursuing us, never stopped extending grace, and never stopped inviting us closer. May we never become so focused on God’s gifts that we lose sight of the Giver. For in knowing him, we discover that he himself is the greatest blessing of all.
