Melba Moore pays tribute

Among those paying tribute is singer Melba Moore, a longtime industry colleague and friend who shared the stage with Jackson on their song Just a Little Bit More.

Taking to her Instagram page, Moore shared a statement reflecting on Jackson, their friendship and some of the memories they shared over the years.

Here’s what she wrote:

“My heart is broken over the loss of a great singer and even a greater friend, Freddie Jackson. When we worked together on songs such as our hit Just A Little Bit More, his sense of humor had me laughing during sessions. We had such a special relationship. I will forever miss my dear friend. Rest peacefully, Freddie,” wrote Melba.
