The singer recently took to Instagram to share a deep message, thanking God for guiding her through every phase of her life and career. Her journey has not been easy. But after leaving the group due to disagreements, she hit a rough patch and even experienced homelessness. Today, she is a 2x GRAMMY Award winner, taking home awards for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for Folded. For ability. For humility. Thank you Jesus for every person you have put on my path to assist in this process. Thank you for every call unanswered that led to a call answered. “Thank you for every opportunity to be a student, and the courage to be a leader. Thank you for joy and laughter in these studio sessions, and the tears that bled into these stories. Thank you Jesus for joy. Thank you for recognising my personal limitations and pushing me far beyond them. Thank you for all the new big brothers sisters uncles and cousins I gained in this process. Thank you for giving me love, loss, and light. Thank you Jesus for discernment & wonder. All glory to YOU, heavenly father,” wrote Kehlani.
