Following the release of his We Will Dance EP, South African DJ and Dr Moruti returns with the official music video for Left Behind, premiering today, 2 October 2026, on YouTube and across digital platforms.

As the lead single from We Will Dance, Left Behind introduced a message centred on resilience, forward movement and refusing to be defined by life’s challenges. The accompanying visuals now give that message a physical and emotional expression, using movement, dance and energy to explore what it means to keep going when life doesn’t go as planned.

Keep moving forward

Commenting on the release, Dr Moruti shared:

“The concept of Left Behind is about not allowing yourself to be left behind in life. Life comes with challenges, setbacks and difficult moments, but I wanted the video to remind people that we should not allow our problems to define us. Sometimes, you have to dance through the challenges, keep moving forward and remind yourself that better days are possible. I also wanted to encourage people to embrace change, growth and every new evolution taking place around them rather than being left behind,” said Dr Moruti.

A journey of growth and change

The video transforms the song’s message into a visual journey, capturing the idea that progress does not always look the same and that growth often comes through change. Through its movement and energy, the visuals invite viewers to see resilience not simply as endurance, but as the decision to continue evolving.

“The music video gives the message a visual and emotional experience. The song speaks about moving forward, but the visuals allow people to actually see that journey. Through movement, dance and the energy of the video, I wanted to show that even when life gets difficult, you can choose to keep moving, keep dancing and keep evolving,” said Dr Moruti.
