Introducing today’s main character: the one, the only… Savoury Cloud Omelette Roll.

So here’s the thing—when I woke up this morning, I had a deep, philosophical thought: “It’s the last day of the long weekend… do I really need a heavy meal?” And my stomach said, “Absolutely not. We are resting… but make it delicious.” That’s when inspiration hit me like a frying pan (gently, don’t worry), and I knew I had to bless my online family with something light, tasty, and a little bit dramatic.

And just like that… our star for today was born!

Now, before this omelette starts calling my name louder than my alarm on a Monday morning, let me stop talking and show you exactly how to make today’s masterpiece.

How to make Savoury Cloud Omelette Roll

Ingredients:
Omelette base:

  • 3 eggs (separated yolks & whites)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Black pepper

Filling:

  • ¼ cup cream cheese
  • ¼ cup grated cheese
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped ham or bacon
  • 1 tablespoon chopped herbs (optional)

Method:

  1. Whip the egg whites: Beat egg whites until they form soft peaks (fluffy like foam).
  2. Mix yolks: In another bowl, mix egg yolks with salt and pepper. Gently fold the yolks into the whipped whites (don’t overmix — keep it airy!).
  3. Bake the cloud: Spread the mixture onto a lined baking tray. Bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  4. Add filling: While still warm, spread cream cheese over the omelette. Sprinkle grated cheese and ham/bacon.
  5. Roll it up: Carefully roll it like a Swiss roll. Let it sit for a minute so it holds shape.
  6. Slice & serve: Cut into soft slices and serve warm.
