Morning, my beautiful family! I hope you are all doing amazing today.

Happy brand-new Monday! A fresh week, a fresh start, and another chance for new opportunities to knock on our doors. Yebo!

Now that I have finally arrived, we can officially call this meeting to order. Welcome to our daily food gathering—attendance is compulsory because today’s agenda is too delicious to miss!

On today’s menu, we have the one and only Creamy Garlic Beef & Potato Skillet.

It’s Monday, my people. We are all still emotionally recovering from that short weekend lunch break, so the last thing we need is a recipe that has us standing in front of the stove until our back hurts.

This one is quick, creamy, packed with flavour, and guaranteed to make everyone think you spent hours in the kitchen.

Now, enough talking… let’s bring this beauty to life!

How to make Creamy Garlic Beef & Potato Skillet

Ingredients:

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ cup fresh cream (or cooking cream)
  • ½ cup beef stock (or water with a stock cube)
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • Chopped parsley or spring onions for garnish

Method:

  1. Heat the oil and fry the potatoes until they’re golden and almost cooked. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, sauté the onion until soft, then add the garlic.
  3. Add the beef mince and cook until nicely browned.
  4. Stir in the paprika, mixed herbs, black pepper, salt, and tomato paste. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef stock and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the cream and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return the potatoes to the pan and gently mix everything together.
  8. Sprinkle the cheese over the top, cover the pan for a few minutes until it melts, then garnish with parsley or spring onions.

Serve with:

  • A fresh salad
  • Garlic bread
  • Steamed vegetables
  • Or enjoy it on its own—it’s hearty enough for a complete meal.
