Happy FriYAY, fam!

We have officially made it to the finish line of the week, and honestly… I think we all deserve a little round of applause.

Now that I’m finally here, let’s stop wasting time and get straight into our daily food meeting because, as usual, we have important business to discuss. And today’s business is DELICIOUS.

Our star of the day is none other than: Chocolate Orange Crunch Cream Cups!

Now listen, fam… after two whole days of avocado meals, I thought it was only right that we spoil ourselves with a little sweet treat today. I mean… IT’S FRIDAY. HHEEELLLLLOOOO?!

And we all know the rule in this house: Fridays are not for heavy meals. We are keeping things light, fun, and delicious because after the long week we have had, our tongues, tastebuds, and tummies deserve a little therapy session.

And trust me, these little cups are more than ready to do the job.

So, enough talking. Let me show you just how easy it is to make your very own Chocolate Orange Crunch Cream Cups.

How to make Chocolate Orange Crunch Cream Cups

Ingredients:
For the chocolate cream:

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 100 g milk or dark chocolate, melted
  • 2 tbsp icing sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • Zest of 1 orange

For the crunch:

  • 8 plain biscuits, crushed
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Pinch of cinnamon

For the orange topping:

  • 1 orange, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp butter
  • Tiny pinch of cinnamon

Method:

  1. Crush the biscuits and mix them with melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. Whip the cream with the icing sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the melted chocolate and orange zest into the cream until smooth and fluffy.
  4. For the topping, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  5. Add the orange pieces, honey and cinnamon and gently warm for 2–3 minutes, allowing the orange to become glossy and fragrant.
  6. Spoon a layer of biscuit crunch into two or three dessert glasses.
  7. Add a generous layer of chocolate-orange cream.
  8. Repeat the layers once more.
  9. Spoon the warm honey-orange pieces over the top.
  10. Finish with a little grated chocolate and fresh orange zest.
